General Guidelines for Walking a Labyrinth
There is no right or wrong way to walk a Labyrinth, each walk is a personal experience.
Some people use the walk for clearing the mind and centring themselves, while others may walk with a question or concern.
Your walk may be a healing and profound experience, or it can be just a relaxing pleasant walk.
Each time it is different.
Walk alone or with a group of friends. Adults are often serious in the labyrinth.
Children most often run in and out as fast as they can in a playful manner.
Before walking the Labyrinth
Take time to pause:
To walk the Labyrinth, is a means to becoming grounded and centred, for some an aid to reflection, pray or meditation.
Remember that using the labyrinth is a relaxing, spiritual experience for some an aid to refection, meditation or prayer.
Take your time, take on a regular, slow walking rhythm, and relax.

While Walking the Labyrinth
The labyrinth is to be walked, step-by-step. There is no time limit but allow 30-45 minutes for a gentle, reflective walk. Walk it at your own pace.
Just follow the path wherever it leads, relax, take it slowly, there is only one way to go.
While walking, pay attention to your breathing, or recite a prayer, or mantra.
Enjoy your experience.
Be mindful of people on the path, whether going the same way, or returning, if necessary, step aside to let others pass.
The very repetitiveness of the walk will slow you down.
When you reach the Centre of the Labyrinth
When you reach the centre, stay there and focus for several moments.
You may want to:
When it feels appropriate leave, walk towards the exit quietly and gently, at your own pace.
Be mindful of people still walking on the path, step aside to let them pass.

Leaving the Centre of the Labyrinth
Take time to reflect or discover your own inner peace.
Turn and face the entrance, acknowledge and reflect on your experience.
When it feels appropriate to leave, walk towards the exit quietly and gently, at your own pace.
Be mindful of people still walking on the path, step aside to let them pass.
